Restoring the health of Yarrahappinni Wetlands

"...these benefits go right across the community and whatever angle you come from it, this is good stuff."

The Team were extremely proud to work on Gumbaynggirr Country to rehabilitate the Yarrahappinni Wetlands. The site was physically cut off from the river in the 1950s, creating massive problems with acid sulphate soils.

Working with the National Parks and Wildlife Service and the First Nations community, our specialist staff engineered an environmental solution to reopen the site. By bringing the natural flow back into the wetland, we're restoring the health of this very culturally significant area.

Please take a few minutes to hear from our staff, clients and community partners on what this project means to them.
