Rock fillets protecting and stabilising Manning River

After some initial delays due to severe weather, including various flood warnings and eventual flooding, it is great to see these rock fillets taking shape along the banks of the Manning River at Pampoolah for our client Hunter Local Land Services.

These rock fillets have been designed to protect and stabilise eroding stretches of bank from boat wash through accumulating sediment and promoting the recruitment and growth of mangroves within the river/estuary environment.

This will also provide the added benefit of supporting aquatic species and improving overall water quality.
